Control
the Bleed

EMTs only come to games

Ice hockey teams have 3x more practices than games with dozens of sharp blades on the ice at any given time. You have 3-5 minutes to stop an arterial bleed. An ambulance can take far longer than that.

Be the help until help arrives.

Mission:

Provide ice hockey coaches, managers, and parents at all levels with the basic equipment and training to control massive bleeding.

It's not a situation anyone wants to think about, but it needs to be addressed. As a coach or parent you will most likely be the first on the scene in any emergency medical situation. That means you should be properly equipped with the necessary equipment to administer potentially life-saving first aid until emergency medical professionals arrive.

You don't have to be a medical professional. You just need to have a bleed control kit and take action. It only takes a few pieces of equipment and five minutes of your time to learn how to slow or stop the bleed until help arrives.

It's better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it.
